Tidal Pools Treasures

Walking in the tidal pools on Sanibel Island is always an adventure.

We check the tide charts each day for low tide,

and then we head to the beach about an hour or two before low tide.

By then, the tide is just beginning to recede,

leaving all kinds of treasures to be discovered and admired.

We find all kinds of intriguing things ... shells, sea urchins, starfish, crabs, etc.

But the most interesting thing we discovered this time,

was a baby octopus, who hid in a pen shell when the low tide trapped him in a tidal pool.

Ewwww!  He inked me!

From the first picture to the last I was blessed to get a peek into your world. I would love to take my kids to such a place. And what a beautiful, loving family you have. Thank you, Tobi
